(Beautiful old Prague)

This summer break, I went to Europe with my dad and the Shanghai Philharmonic children’s choir. We went to 4 countries, Czech, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. Czech is a country in the Central Europe. the climate of Czech is comfortable, not too hot, or too cold. In Czech, we visited Prague. Prague is a beautiful city, there are many famous structures. We visited the “Prague Square”. If you want to shop, then maybe you should go somewhere else, this is not the best place to shop. The square is surrounded by coffee bars and restaurants, so you can find a seat, order a cup of coffee or a dessert, and spend rest of your time doing nothing. Anyway, even though Prague is an old country, but it is full of history, this city is one of my favorite. Another one of my favorite city is Vienna, a city from Austria. Vienna is known as the City of Music, many famous musicians are born in Vienna and succeeded in this city. This is my second time of visiting Vienna, It brings a different experience to me with different people. The city is also historical, there are many old buildings, and things from ancient Europe. There is an old street, now it is for shopping, kind of like Nanjing Road from Shanghai. Well…I didn’t buy anything, order an ice-cream, and take a sit in the café on the sidewalk. Vienna is a city that comforts people, which I love.

- Slovakia and Hungary are two small cities. Seriously, I don’t even know these two countries before I went. I don’t really like these two counties, because they are old, and small, the traffic policing is bad. But not everything about these two countries is bad: in Slovakia, there is a beautiful village. In Hungary, there is a nice view on the top of the mountain.
Were not here for traveling. We came here for concerts. We need to share our culture to other country. We had three concerts, in Prague, St.Gilgen, and Vienna. We sang 7 songs in these places, which is very tired, but enjoyable. In Prague, we had our first concert with a native childrens choir, which is from Czech. We have a lot to learn from them. Ive chatted with three of the girls from the choir, they said that they are older than us in the average, but they are shocked by us because we sang much more better than them.

Our next destination is St. Gilgen, a beautiful village in Austria. We had our second concert in Mozarts House. It is my pleasure to sing in one of the most famous musicians Mozarts house. We can see a lot of posters about our concert everywhere in the village, at that moment, I felt like an idol. Our last destination is Vienna, my favorite city in Europe. We had our last concert in a church. Ive visited the church a few years ago when I came to Vienna. It was not finished building it yet, and this time, it was half-done. The church is big, the sound effects are excellent! Anyway I love our last performance in this beautiful church, we did a great job, and there is an audience who is very active, every time when we finish a song, her applause is the loudest, and she yells "bravo!" Which confident us and comforts us. After the concert, she came to the stage and asked for our signature, which made my feels like an idol again.
This visit to Europe gives me a lot of experience, and I learned a lot, I need to thank my teacher and my parents to create this opportunity. |
